The independent film scene is
flooded with movies, most of which are terrible. All of these films struggle to
find distribution. With so many films out there, it is hard to stand out even
if you have a good film. So to make things easier, I compiled a list of selling
points for ‘Stuck Like Chuck’. While I am more of a believer in letting the
film speak for itself, what’s listed below can be considered my pitch. I am the
writer, director and pretty much sole crew of the film. I own all the rights.
If you are interested in Stuck
Like Chuck or have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Thanks!
- 86 minutes long comedic feature
- Fun and funny, not pretentious,
not self-indulgent, no unnecessarily complicated plot twists and no forced
message.
- Catchy title. Already has some
exposure.
- Won Audience Choice Comedy at
first festival it screened
- Won Independent Spirit Award at Orlando Film festival. Award will now be named Jerry Cavallaro Independent Spirit Award!
- Received several great reviews
and favorable mentions from a variety of film sites and NY print.
- Has been called Clerks meets
Superbad and Breakfast Club by a few people.
- 3 talented lead actors that can
actually act
- Cameo by independent film icon
Lloyd Kaufman
- Surprise Cameo by very
recognizable actor (multiple Emmy award winner)
- Perfect for the college crowd,
as well as older demographics
- Great date movie. “A romantic
comedy for guys.”
- This is a movie “for movie geeks
by movie geeks”. Good news because movie geeks are taking over the box office.
- Awesome soundtrack features some
of the biggest unsigned bands.
- All music is used with
permission from artist. All actors signed contracts.
- Jerry Cavallaro and Stuck Like
Chuck are featured in the Netflix documentary ‘A Million In The
Morning’.
- Over 2 hours of promotional
videos (most of which is footage not in the film) have been released online.
- The DVDs have already been encooded, complete with menus and hours of bonus features.
- I am the Co-Host of FilmSnobbery Live! at filmsnobbery.com and the Contributing NY Editor
of WeAreMovieGeeks.com. They are both great outlets for promotion, news and
contests. I also personally know many other site owners and bloggers, which means definite
coverage.
- Franchise potential. I am currently raising the budget for a related film through IndieGoGo. A script for a TV pilot/web series is
being written. T-shirts are already selling well with more product ideas on the
way.
- I am a press whore and I have no
social life. I am readily available for interviews, screenings, live events,
etc.
- I am very active promoting the
film online, which is probably how you found this list.
If you have not watched it yet, below is the
trailer for the film. Do not hesitate to contact me if you would like to
request a screener, have any questions or any interest at all.
